Fred minus Freaky part 8.5
A Barbara Vivian Anderson Mini-chapter
It was Sunday and I was texting my friend in Paris, her name is Rachel, she’s telling me about her new boyfriend, and I texted to her, “If he is a hairstylist, dump him. He will ruin your hair!” And then I looked and saw that I got a text from Courage.
Look, I know I’m supposed to be 35, but I don’t act my age. If I did I would have kids and be driving a mini-van and have awful soccer mom hair like I did 5 years ago. Fred took my young adult life away from me when he shaved my head, and I have to do all the things I wanted to do now before I would turn 40, because I was too ugly to do pretty girl things before now.
So anyways, I got a text from Courage, and sure enough he was offering me this great fabric softener. I mean, that’s what I need, the dress I wear to piss off Fred is great and all, but it’s really itchy with all the lace, it needs a bit of softener to make it comfy. So I hopped into my blue Volkswagen EOS and drove over to this new coffee place called Alchemist something or other, but we met up at that coffee shop and he gave me some. Now, it smelled really pretty like talc powder and roses, but I should not have used it. It gave me such a rash! I mean who puts vinegar into a fabric softener? Any-who, that’s why I left school early on Monday, that is all I have to say.
